Alexandra Chalat

Board Chair

Alexandra is an experienced consultant, journalist and academic in the subject of unique catalysts for change. A World Economic Forum Global Shaper and the previous Executive Director of Beyond Sport, she has collaborated on social-change projects with a diverse range of organizations including, TIME Magazine, the NBA, the NFL, UNICEF, the US State Department, SAP, Virgin Sport and EY. She has led on strategies that have included creating ESPN’s global community engagement activation, developing the Mayor of London’s sport for social integration approach, identifying ways the Qatar government can be more inclusive and fairer to migrant workers, activating the International Olympic Committee’s Sport for All policies, and finding new ways for BT Sport to engage with younger, socially conscious fans. A graduate of University of Pennsylvania — where she was a three-time recipient of the annual Benjamin Franklin All-Academic Award — she completed her MSc in Communications at the London School of Economics, writing her dissertation on the socio-economic impact of art and sport on urban environments.
